Day 01: Arrival Mumbai
Arrival in Mumbai and transfer to your hotel for over night stay.Day 2: Mumbai
Visit Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum, drive past University of Bombay, High Court of Bombay, Crawford Market, Hanging Gardens, the Gandhi Memorial Museum, Jain Temple and Victoria Terminus.Day 03: Flight to Kochi
Flight to Kochi also called Cochin – with its wealth of historical associations and beautiful setting on a cluster of islands and narrow peninsulas, Cochin or Kochi, reflects the eclecticism of Kerala perfectly. Traders from the West came to Kerala as far back as the 3rd century B.C. and took back with them Spices, Ivory and Teak. Much later, in the 15th century, the Portuguese, Dutch, French and British came to this region in the guise of merchants, some to stay on as colonial rulers. They all left their impression on the town. Modern Cochin is a splendid mosaic where Portuguese architecture and British influences all blend harmoniously with the basic thread of Kerala’s rich heritage. Here you can also see the oldest church in India.Day 04: Kochi
After breakfast visit Jewish Synagogue-The Synagogue is the place of worship for the entire Jewish Community of Kerala. Built in 1568, it has a rich interior with gleaming brass and pendant chandeliers in colored glass. Visit St Francis Church- Built by the Portuguese in 1503-1510, it is believed to be the first European church in the subcontinent. Visit Dutch Palace – The Mattancherry Palace is a Portuguese palace popularly known as the Dutch Palace.This Palace was built and gifted by the Portuguese as a present to the Raja of Cochin. The Dutch carried out some extensions and renovations in the palace in 1663, and thereafter it was popularly called Dutch Palace.Day 05: Backwaters
After breakfast, transfer to the Houseboat Embarkation point. The Kerala houseboats used to form an inseparable ingredient of the way of life in Kerala, this traditional boat is locally called Kettuvallom. Check-in to the exclusive houseboat. Overnight stay on houseboat.Day 06: Periyar
The sanctuary provides a good source of water for wildlife and is home to Tiger, Bison, Wild Boar, Sambar, Monkeys, wild Elephants and a wide variety of over 260 Species of birds including Nilgiri Wood Pigeons, Blue-Winged Parakeets, and White bellied Tree Pies,Llaughing Thrushes and Fly Catchers. Afternoon take a spice plantation tour.Day 07: Periyar
Take morning cruise on Periyar Lake by common boat and after noon on your way back you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight stay at Hotel.Day 08: Madurai
Drive:(247 kms 4-5 hrs)
After breakfast you drive to Madurai. Madurai is another of Tamil Nadu’s ancient cities, situated on the Vaigai River. At its centre lies the magnificent Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple. Across the city is the Mariamman tank also known as the Vandiyur Teppakulam. It has a little shrine on an island at the centre of the tank.Day 09: Tanjore
Drive: (188 kms 3-4hrs)
After breakfast you drive to Tanjore. Upon arrival in Tanjore, visit the famous BRAHADEESWARAR TEMPLE, Palace of Nayak and Maratha Kings, is the famous Saraswati Mahal library with its immense collection of valuable books and palm leaf manuscripts. Within the Palace with its maze of halls and passages, is also the Art Gallery with an excellent collection of Chola bronzes and stone sculpture. Overnight at Hotel.Day 10: Pondicherry
Drive:(180kms 3hrs)
After breakfast you drive to Pondicherry and en route visit Chidambaram – It has one of the oldest and loveliest of Chola temples. The 1000 year old Shiva temple. Overnight at Hotel in Pondicherry.Day 11: Pondicherry
Today you will visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram which is located on rue de la Marine, is one of the most well-known and wealthiest ashrams in India, Its spiritual tenets represent a synthesis of yoga and modern science. Visit Puducherry Museum, The Church of Our Lady of the Angels at Dumas Street. Overnight stay at HotelDay 12: Tiruvanammalai
Drive:(110kms 2hrs)
After breakfast you drive to Tiruvanammala Sri Seshadri Swamigal Ashram: Mahan Sri SeshadriSwamigal lived in the late 20th Century. Sri Seshadri Swamigal Ashram is one of the holy places in this town. Sri Ramana Ashram: Mahan Sri Ramana maharishi lived in this Tiruvannamalai town. Yogi Ram Surath kumar Ashram, also known as Visiri Samiyar Ashram, is a beautiful place in this town. It is situated near the Ramana Ashram. Devotees from all over the world visit Yogi Ram Surath kumar Ashram. He attained mukthi in the year of 2000.Day 13: Mamallapuram
Drive:(110kms 2hrs)
After breakfast you drive to Mamallapuram. Overnight stay at Hotel.Day 14: Mamallapuram
Mahabalipuram -Globally renowned for its shore temples, Mahabalipuram was the second capital of the Pallava kings of Kanchipuram. Visit Shore Temple, Mandapas, The Ganesh Mandapa and Rathas. Overnight stay at Hotel.Day 15: Chennai
After breakfast, you will go on a city excursion. , visit the Kapaleshvara temple, which is dedicated to God Shiva and is a good example of the colorful south Indian temple architecture, visit the Fort St George, St Thomas Church, At the National Museum, you will see sculptures from the Pallava, Pandava and Chola times. You will also pay a visit to the National Art Gallery and Marina Beach. Overnight stay at Hotel.Day 16: Return back to Home
Today you will be transferred to the international airport to catch flight to your further destination.
